Los Angeles County — Members of SEIU 2015, California’s long term care union representing 385,000 nursing home and home care workers, joined Fight for 15 activists at today’s McDonald’s strike.
SEIU 2015 member leader Catherine Polk of Los Angeles shared the following statement:
“I am sick and tired of millionaires and anti-union people attacking workers.”
“Just recently the Trump Administration attacked home care workers by passing a CMS rule attempting to keep us from paying our union dues. This was just another sorry attempt to break apart our union. But they’re not going to win because the power of the people is stronger than Trump and McDonald’s and their millionaire buddies.”
“Workers deserve livable wages, healthcare, dignity and respect, and the right to form a union.”
SEIU Local 2015 represents over 385,000 home care and nursing home workers across California.
