Lassen County Home Care Providers Call Out County at Vigil

At an impassioned, tearfilled candle vigil, local and state members of the SEIU 2015, who represent Californian home care providers, showed up to Lassen County’s old courthouse to rally for the value of the workers, better wages and to call out the Lassen County Board of Supervisors.
The group was advocating for those who provide for some 200 elderly and/ or disabled county residents, who receive home care services, to be paid 50 cents above minimum wage and helped with “purchasing the necessities they need to live and work” in the county, according to fliers handed out at the event.
