In California, the effort will focus on delivering “Yes on 55” votes to prevent nearly $4 billion in funding cuts to public education and other vital services like children’s health care.
Driven by the opportunity to make change at the ballot box this year and push back on Donald Trump’s racist agenda, California’s working people are mobilizing in record number to elect Hillary Clinton as President, send Kamala Harris to the U.S. Senate, unlock every child’s potential with YES votes on Props. 55 and 58, and get smart on crime with Prop. 57.
After raising the minimum wage in California and putting a bill to provide retirement security for all on Governor Brown’s desk, the National Day of Action is the next step in creating a California where working families can thrive and rise above the hateful rhetoric that has permeated the national stage around elections.
