Tell Congress no new restrictions on IHSS!

Call your Congressional Representative and U.S. Senators now and tell them to vote against H.R.6 – known as the 21st Century Cures Act – because of section 12006 of the bill that would require all states to set up electronic visit verification (“EVV”) for Medicaid-funded home care programs like IHSS.

We know that EVV has caused hardships for home care providers and recipients in other states. These systems have reduced recipients’ flexibility and self-direction. EVV would create even more burdensome requirements for IHSS providers that could lead to unnecessary penalties – this is an unacceptable and unnecessary change to the IHSS program.

Right now, H.R. 6 is being voted on in Congress. Call 1-877-842-5945, and tell your Congressperson that the section mandating electronic visit verification for all states must be eliminated from the bill.

Then, call Senator Barbara Boxer at 202-224-3553 and Senator Dianne Feinstein at 202-224-3841, and give them the same message.
