Together, we can strengthen California’s home care system!
As Congress seeks to slash care for seniors and people with disabilities through devastating cuts to Medicaid in order to give a huge tax cut to billionaires, caregivers are standing up for our communities and the care we give and saying: not on our watch!
Our Care Counts. Older adults count. People with disabilities count. We refuse to sacrifice the lives and well-being of our people for the sake of giving more money to the wealthy and privileged.
We will defend and protect Medi-Cal – and fight to build a STRONGER care system by transforming the profession of caregiving, which starts by giving caregivers a fair shot at bargaining good contracts through statewide collective bargaining.
Caregivers will lead in building a path to the future of care: better wages and benefits, expanded access to affordable care for all Californians, and investments in training and career pathways for caregivers.
