Founded in 2000 by the long-term care workers who are now members of SEIU Local 2015, the Center for Caregiver Advancement (CCA) provides quality educational opportunities to long-term care workers so they can build better lives for themselves and the people they serve. CCA serves two specific groups of workers: In-Home Supportive Services caregivers and nursing home workers in residential care and skilled nursing facilities (through the Education Fund).
We partner with SEIU Local 2015 in our commitment to build a highly trained workforce that many Californians can’t live without. We champion high-quality training that is universally accessible for all caregivers, and we believe in education as a tool of empowerment for long-term care workers.
