Caregivers need more.

Across California, we have been on the frontlines of the pandemic. We work long hours, caring for California’s most vulnerable. And yet, we aren’t treated like the essential workers we are.

We’re calling on California leadership to put an end to the low wages and disrespect caregivers face by implementing a path to a $20 wage floor for California’s long-term care providers.

This is a first step in lifting up our workforce—most of us women, many of us women of color—so that we can care for ourselves and our families without the heavy financial stress we currently face. A path to $20 will show that California values our work and sees how essential we truly are.
