On No Kings Day, October 18th, working people across the nation are coming together in cross racial solidarity for a day of peaceful protest against the rising attacks on our freedoms, immigrant communities, and communities of color by the Trump administration and Republicans who are working to strip our democracy away only to build their power.
No Kings is expected to be a historic mobilization with millions across the country standing up to take action against the billionaires who want to weaken our communities and only seek to further divide our country.
We’ve seen what’s been happening, what’s been broken, but it’s time to organize, mobilize and protect not only what’s at stake across the country, but also in California.
It’s a day to stand up, make our voices heard and uplift the power of working people, and a call for each of us to keep imagining and building better futures for our families, that includes Democracy for all.
That’s why this No Kings Day, the long-term care workers of SEIU Local 2015 will stand in solidarity at dozens of events across the state knocking on doors and calling voters on the importance of Prop 50 that would protect us from the Republicans who are gerrymandering in states like Texas to rig the elections that would threaten our voting rights, freedoms, and democracy.
We’re urging voters to vote YES on Proposition 50 on November 4, 2025.
We’re uniting in solidarity across place, race, and industry with food service workers, child care providers, airport staff, state employees, and not-yet-union workers to stand for our rights, our dignity, and our vision of a Future of Care that reflects our rights to have Democracy for all.
