REDDING, Calif. — The Shasta County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) In-Home Supportive Service (IHSS) contract expires in less than two months.
Several members and union supporters showed up at Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors meeting. These are people who take care of the fragile elderly and disabled. They make $14.60/hr with no benefits, and they told supervisors they’d like to see that improve.
