WHEN:
Friday, June 30th 2023
10:30am PT to 12:30pm PT

WHERE:
The Terraces at Park Marino, 2587 E Washington Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91107

WHAT:
Workers from assisted living facility The Terraces at Park Marino—members of SEIU 2015, the nation’s largest long-term care union and California’s largest labor union—will protest the unsafe working conditions they face there, such as high staff turnover and understaffing. The Terraces at Park Marino provides assisted living, memory care, respite care, and adult day care.

WHY:
The Terraces at Park Marino (employer) has created an unsafe working environment for its caregivers and is not providing residents with the quality care that they deserve. The employer is understaffing its facility, resulting in residents being unattended and caregivers being overwhelmed and underpaid. The Terraces at Park Marino also refuses to engage in productive dialogue at the bargaining table with SEIU 2015 to ensure that working conditions and resident safety is improved.

WHO:
Long-term care providers and others who work at The Terraces at Park Marino, supporters of long-term care providers, SEIU 2015 members
