三藩市生活成本高昂,即使三藩市最低時薪已在今年7月提升至15元,低收入人士和家庭仍有困難或無法負擔遠超自己經濟實力的物價和租金。 昨日下午,三藩市勞工議會(SF Labor Council)集合了大約150名城市承包商員工和多個工會組織,包括國際服務業員工工會(SEIU)第1021地方支會、加州長期護理人員工會SEIU 2015和本地2號工會(Unite Here Local 2)等等,在三藩市市政廳集會和參加市參事會議,為不滿工資低和員工福利薄弱而發聲,並要求市府把他們的生活工資提升至每小時16.86元。
