“The senseless violence we saw in Monterey Park is terrifying, maddening and despicable all at once. Our hearts are breaking from the senselessness of violence brought on by our nation’s gun epidemic, and all the innocent lives that have been taken from us too soon. Even as we offer our love, support and our outreached hand to the survivors and families of those who were killed, we raise our other hand in protest as we call on government to act, and finally enact meaningful gun reform.”
